BIGA celebrates record year of success

Brett Schimming, CEO of BIGA, today confirmed that 2007 has been a record year of success for the iconic Queensland company.
According to Brett, 'business growth and economic market boyancy has driven strong demand for capable apprentices across a broad range of industries including construction and development this year.
With record unemployment levels, Australian businesses have had to look at a number of human capital acquisition strategies to achieve and maintain necessary labour levels and apprenticeship programs have been one of them.
This has meant that the demand for good apprentices has been strong and the opportunities available to apprentices has been equally strong. Overall, an exceptional result for all parties.
